Summary Role
The Commercial Procurement Junior is responsible for purchasing all company's commercial requirements and handling communications with suppliers and internal requests.
Responsibilities
- Select vendors according to company approved criteria which include best prices, quantity and quality and delivery date to acquire the best offers and quality
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs as required and manage procurement costs effectively to realize significant cost savings for the company
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions and quotations received from internal requestors for completeness and accuracy of requested items
- Identify requestor’s needs, develop or refine specifications and timeline, and solve purchasing problems between suppliers and internal requesters
- Perform periodic evaluation of the authorized suppliers and communicate results with procurement management
- Create purchase orders from purchase requisitions, handle enquires from suppliers and requestors and track progress of issued purchase orders
- Prepare and review Zain's contracts and agreements with suppliers in co-ordination with the legal department to ensure the compliance with Zain's regulations
- Perform all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to the supervisor/manager immediately
- Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait
- Zain abides by fulfilling the occupational health and safety certificate requirements that establishes and maintains an OH&S management system that eliminate hazards and minimizes OH&S risks (including system deficiencies), take advantage of OH&S opportunities and addresses OH&S management system nonconformities associated with its activities
