Job Description For Assistant Manager - Application Solution Position In Oman Environmental Services Holding Company
About the Job
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Work closely with the business to evaluate current and future operational requirements and related processes in order to identify gaps and areas that require IT interventions for improvement and recommend suitable application solutions
- Provide inputs to the development of annual IT plans and budgets to ensure that business requirements can be adequately met
- Lead a team of application specialists to conceptualize and translate business requirements and propose suitable application solutions to drive process efficiencies
- Lead the comparative analysis of available solutions to support the business in selecting the most suitable solution
- Identify capability and resource requirements to design and effectively deliver the selected solution
- Work with Procurement to facilitate the tendering process for acquiring 3rd party IT services where required
- Assist in the technical evaluation of the bids to ensure the most suitable and cost-effective vendor is selected to deliver the application solutions
- Work with the 3rd party IT vendors to ensure the scope of work is delivered in line with the agreed project plan, timeframes and approved budget
- Lead the user acceptance testing to evaluate the effectiveness of the solutions provided and to facilitate the necessary changes as required
- Leads user training to ensure optimal utilization of the implemented solutions
- Set and agree on performance objectives for all direct reports and provide coaching and feedback to teams/individuals in line with good people management practices to ensure job responsibilities are optimally delivered
- Adhere to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions, controls and role specific QHSE KPI in order to guarantee the safety of employees, quality of products/ services and environmental compliance
Minimum Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in ICT or Computer Science related discipline with 6 years relevant experience required out of which 2 years must be in managing similar function.
Masters’ Degree preferred
